President of the Egyptian Chefs Association


Chef Hossam Soliman is a Certified Executive Chef of the World Association of Chefs Societies (WACS) and has judged numerous chefs competitions as a WACS Certified Judge Class A. He served on the Egyptian Chefs Association’s board as treasurer for many years until May 2015 when he was nominated the Association’s president. As President he will continue to further develop the ever-growing Association so as to provide even more and better services for its members with a special focus on the development of young chefs.

Chef Hossam has trained and guided many Egyptian chefs – seniors and juniors. They have achieved excellent results at national and international competitions. In 2008, under his guidance, the Culinary Ambassadors of Egypt scored 8 medals of which 5 Gold, 2 Silver and 1 Bronze in the IKA Culinary Olympics. In 2010 they scored 7 medals of which 4 Gold, 2 Silver and 1 Bronze in the Culinary World Cup in Luxembourg. In 2010 Chef Hossam was the trainer of the Egyptian team which participated at the Istanbul International Gastronomy Festival. They won 13 Gold, 9 Silver and 3 Bronze medals. In 2014, under his guidance, the Egyptian Junior Team won the African Culinary Cup.

Chef Hossam's last position was as Executive Chef at one of InterContinental’s flagship hotels the InterContinental Cairo Citystars. Recently he took on a new career challenge by becoming Production Manager of La Poire.
