Within the framework of the annual HEROCA 2012 exhibition, LibanPack, the Lebanese Packaging Center, will organize a Packaging Innovation Parc wherein the latest packaging trends will be presented. It is with this spirit of innovation and inspiration that LibanPack announces to the visitors and packaging enthusiasts to take a walk in its Innovation Parc, which is the first of its kind in the country and the region.

Aesthetics, sustainability and Technology are the pillars of this Packaging Innovation Parc.

Design is often praised for its appeal to the consumer, and so LibanPack will bring to the Lebanese audience a collection of most original packaging items including creative package applications in a limited edition, from all over the world. The most recent advances in sustainable packaging brought from worldwide leaders in food and beverages industries will also be exhibited.

Packaging turned to waste is a huge concern for the environment. Therefore, LibanPack actively promotes awareness about the famous 3Rs: Reduce, Reuse and Recycle. The Parc will showcase excellence of eco-designs by integrating art from packaging waste.

The Innovation Parc will feature some of the most avant-garde smart packaging for food & beverages. Such packaging is often informative and accessible to the consumers.  As a matter of fact, it is these qualities that render it ‘smart’.  LibanPack will be a platform for offering exciting opportunities on smart packaging with regard to food safety, quality and convenience; it will aim to help both consumers and designers make better packaging choice.

A centerpiece of the Innovation Parc will be the work of Lebanese students and talent who have participated in and presented winning projects for the annual StarPack Contest.  A champion of local talent, LibanPack views itself as an incubator of novel ideas and young designers. It is for this reason that StarPack was conceived as a vehicle for unleashing the creativity of university students, some of whose outstanding new packaging projects will be proudly displayed in the Innovation Parc.

LibanPack is a private non-profit organization founded in 2008 with the joint support of UNIDO, and the Association of the Lebanese Industrialists.

To date, 90 of packaging, food and agricultural industries have joined LibanPack whose main objective is to increase the competitiveness of Lebanese products through improved packaging and labeling, and enable them therefore, to conquer foreign markets.
