A New Addition for HORECA 2010: The Wine and Drinks Pavilion

The annual hospitality event HORECA returned triumphantly with a new addition for its 11th Edition.  

The most talked about hospitality event of the year, HORECA, gained a new and popular addition to its 2010 event, the Wine and Drinks Pavilion. Whetting the curiosity of wine lovers and industry  professionals everywhere, the new pavilion revealed the Wine Lab. Created in order to provide an insight into the latest Lebanese wine making techniques, as well as an opportunity to meet professional wine makers, the activities, taking place were headed by no other than Mrs. Daniele Raulet-Reynaud, the best Steward of France 1980 and Meilleur sommelier Rhône-Alpes 1978, Finaliste du concours du meilleur sommelier de France 1978, Meilleur maître d’hôtel de France 1980 (Académie Brillat-Savarin)

Included within the activities was of course the renowned   Lebanese Bartenders competition, which commenced on April 29th. This popular competition drew hopeful and immensely skilful bartenders from all over Lebanon and was conducted in the presence of an international panel of judges. Jad Ballout was awarded a gold medal and Haytham Daou and Charbel were awarded Silver and bronze medals respectively. 

With 350 exhibitors and over 300 participants, not to mention the activities, competitions, live shows and workshops, it is not hard to see why HORECA 2010 has been deemed a complete success by those in the hospitality industry. With such an accolade we now look forward to HORECA 2011 and aim to build on our present success in order to create an even more successful exhibition for the benefit of those within the hospitality industry.
