The award is in recognition of Japan’s sustained efforts in rebuilding its physical infrastructure and reviving its tourism product in the wake of the 2011 earthquake and subsequent tsunami that devastated the country’s northeastern coast.
3 May - The Rezidor Hotel Group announces the Radisson Blu Hotel, Riyadh North Ring Road in Saudi Arabia. The property features 252 rooms and is scheduled to welcome the first guests in Q1 2015. 21 April - Rotana chefs took home no less than seven awards at the 13th Horeca Hospitality Salon Culinaire which was held in Biel this year. 21 April - 3 gold, 2 silver and 4 bronze medals were earned at HORECA’s 19th edition by the kitchen team members of Le Gray, Beirut. To celebrate the winners, a gathering was recently held at the hotel during which the General Manager Christophe Hazebrouck congratulated the winners and praised their efforts. November - As part of its CSR program, Le Gray Beirut participated in a fundraising campaign entitled “Calling your Attention” to support the Brave Heart Fund. Over 3 months the hotel rooms, restaurants and spa raised 12,749,000 LBP. During a reception to mark the end of the campaign the hotel's general manager, Christophe Hazebrouck, handed the cheque to Joumana Ghandour Atallah, the fund's co-founder, who explained that the money raised will help to cover a surgery for a needy child suffering from congenital heart disease.

28 September - Château Ksara took its tagline “Each bottle tells a story” to a convivial new level by organizing its first “Meet Your Neighbor” event. 26 October - Over 100 team members from Hilton Dubai Jumeirah completed a huge beach clean effort as part of the ‘Clean Up The World’ campaign. October - Monique Bassila Zaarour, owner dietitian of “So7i Wa Sari3” celebrated the opening of a new clinic in Mar Elias Street in Beirut. The opening comes following the success of branches in Ashrafieh, Elissar, Zahle, Dbayeh and Zouk.
15 September - Thierry Gardinier, President of Taillevent group and owner of Chateau Phelan Segur explained to a gathering of over a 100 selected gourmet guests on Salmontini's terrace about the different varieties of wine that had been carefully selected to be served with the exquisite menu.
3 October - Lebanon's first Golden Key was awarded to Miled Franciss, Le Royal's head concierge, paving the way for the country to become a member of the prestigious Union Internationale des Concierge d'Hotels (UICH), known better as Les Clefs d'Or,organization.
